The Many Health Benefits of The Aloe Vera Plant

Aloe is a genus which contains some 400 species of flowering succulent plants. A succulent plant is a plant which can retain water, giving it the the ability to survive in arid climates such as in Egypt or the Sudan. The most common and well known of these is aloe vera plant, or “true aloe” or “medicinal aloe”. The leaves of the aloe vera plant are thick and fleshy giving them a green to grey-green color. Ingredients from the aloe vera plant are widely used in the cosmetics and alternative medicine industries. Its ingredients are used in various creams and gels giving them the ability to rejuvenate the skin or relieve the effects of a sunburn.

The aloe vera plant can be found throughout the world. they are thought to have originated in Northern Africa, Southern part of the Arabian Peninsula, the Canary Islands and Cape Verde. The aloe vera plant does not grow naturally anymore. However there are some naturalised stands of the aloe vera plants located in various parts of the world. These areas include the Sudan, Morocco, Egypt and the Canary Islands.

The aloe vera plant is cultivated in many countries such as the USA, China, Cuba, Mexico, Australia, South Africa and India. Large scale agricultural prodution occurs in these countries such as the USA for the Aloe Vera Gel which is used by the cosmetic industry to produce creams for skin care. The aloe vera benefits found in these creams include the revitalization of the skin, relief from sunburns and to treat abrasions. The aloe vera benefits are external but there are aloe benefits benefits that are internal.

There are many ingredients in the aloe vera plant that can be used to benefit the human body. The aloe vera plant is used in alternative medicine to produce an aloe vera juice and pill. It is still relatively unknown in the scientific community as far as its healing powers are concerned. However it is widely accepted in the alternative medicine field as a remedy for many ailments.

It should be noted that on May 9, 2002, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a final rule banning the use of aloin, the yellow sap of the aloe plant for use as a laxative ingredient in over-the-counter drug products. Most aloe juices today do not contain significant aloin.

When making your own aloe vera juice it is important to remove all of the yellow layer beneath the rind of the Aloe Vera plant. If this layer is ingested, it can cause stomach discomfort and diarrhea.

Salicylic Acid is found in the aloe vera plant. This is asubstance similar to aspirin that can help reduce fever and inflammation. It also contains Saponins and Sterols. Saponins are natural soapy substances that have both cleansing and antiseptic properties while Sterols are naturally occurring plant steroids with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties.

Most of us have heard of glucose and fructose which are know that the mono-saccharides. It is believed that the more complex long-chain sugars are the poly-saccharides give Aloe Vera its unique healing and immuno-stimulating properties.

Also contained in aloe vera ingredients is Lignin. This gives Aloe Vera its penetrating powers, but is not considered to have any other benefit.

Aloe Vera Gel or Gelly

Aloe vera gel is the gelly that is found inside the leaves of the aloe vera plant.  It is a clear, thick substance and is packed full of nutrients that have benefited many for thousands of years.

There are only about 4 or 5 species of aloe with medicinal properties even though there are over 200 different varieties to be found and out of these, it is the Aloe Barbadensis Millerthat is the most effective.

Aloe Vera Gel Benefits

There are numerous benefits associated with the aloe gel, our ancestors were aware of how powerful this plant really is and more and more people today are beginning to discover it too.

The gel can be taken internally or applied externally.

Taken internally, it’s ingredients get to work helping the body to function better in many ways.  It is oozing vitamins and minerals, some which are rarely found in a plant for example vitamin B12 and which is often taken as a supplement.  Make sure if you are intending to take aloe gel internally that the product is suitable for doing so.

It contains seven of the eight essential amino acids that the body must have in order to function properly and that cannot be created artificially, it is naturally anti-inflammatory and is an immune “modulator” or balancer.

Suffice to say that taking a daily dose of aloe vera gel can really have a positive effect on different areas in the body.

Aloe vera gel for internal use is generally called aloe vera juice and there are only a few brands, Forever Living being one of them where the product is allowed to be called a gel because of the high concentration of aloe vera contained.

The gel can also be applied topically and the skin as well as the immune system are two of the main areas where aloe vera has been found to be effective.

Aloe Vera Gel Benefits For Skin

The skin is the largest organ in the body and protects the body both inside and out. The skin, also called epithelial tissue, covers the body on the outside and also on the inside as it forms the linings of other organs such as the lungs and other parts of the respiratory system, the kidneys, the stomach and intestines aswell as the nose and throat.

Aloe vera not only benefits the skin you can see on the outside but works just the same on these “skin tissue” areas inside the body.

It is full of nutrients, vital vitamins and minerals that combinedhave a powerful effect on the skin.

Nature has given us this plant which is naturally anti-inflammatory, naturally antiseptic, naturally antibacterial, naturally antifungal and naturally antiviral.

What this means for the skin is better and faster healing, reduced inflammation and a better chance of fighting infection which is why it is so useful for treating burns and other skin irritations.

Aloe vera helps to combat the signs of aging – it is a natural moisturizer and stimulates production of collagen and elastin, two proteins found in the body that gives skin its structure and elasticity.  With increasing age, these proteins can break down causing skin to get wrinkled and become thinner.

It is important to note that of all the anti-aging creams and lotions on the market, none of them are designed to be absorbed, they work on the surface of the skin only and help to keep the skin moist.

Aloe vera on the other hand effects skin right at cellular level purely because of its ability to penetrate skin – due to it’s lignin content.

Cells are fed a complete cocktail of nutrients which is important when you consider that the skin renews itself every 21 – 28 days or so.

Because of better nourishment, the skin stays healthy, looks better and is able to do its job more efficiently.

Aleo vera gel or gelly is one product that is hugely versatile and applying a little  on any skin irritation can have a soothing effect.  Coupled with drinking aloe vera gel for maximum benefit internally, you can be assured of more energy and a better sense of well-being.

Aloe Vera For Sunburn

It’s common knowledge that you should avoid leaving your skin exposed to the sun for too long, and if you do you should apply plenty of sun cream regularly to avoid sunburn and help to prevent anti-ageing and the risk of getting skin cancer.

However if you do happen to get sunburn at any point then it’s generally a good idea to use a product containing the aloe vera ingredient straight afterwards. This is because aloe vera helps to protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun and will act as an antibacterial agent, resulting in deep healing of the damaged skin.

Of course you should avoid getting sunburnt all together but if you do get sunburns then aloe vera products will help speed up the healing process.

There are a number of different products on the market to help this condition. Most of them come in the form of gels or creams that you apply on to the affected area. These will work to a degree, but we highly recommend the Aloeride capsules because you can take them before and during a holiday to help your protect your skin from the sun (in addition to your usual sunscreen).

Not only does Aloeride help to rejuvenate your skin after you’ve been exposed to the sun, but if you continue to take the pills on a daily basis after your holiday, you can keep your sun tan for longer rather than see your tan quickly disappear which is what usually happens. Also because Aloeride comes in capsule form and works from within the body, you avoid the messiness of having to apply creams and moisturizers directly to your skin.

Aloe Vera For Skin Care

Aloe vera has been used for thousands of years for healing the skin of any cuts, wounds and burns, and improving it’s overall appearance. While people have traditionally applied aloe vera extract from the aloe plant directly onto the skin, it’s now generally taken as a lotion, a cream, a capsule, or a drink, where aloe vera is an active ingredient.

It’s used both as a cosmetic product for anti-ageing purposes and for improving the general appearance of the skin, and as a form of alternative medication for various skin complaints, helping to effectively heal cuts and burns and treat skin ulcers, Psoriasis and Eczema.

So aloe vera products can be extremely effective in improving your skin because this natural ingredient can act both as a moisturiser and an anti-inflammatory meaning that it will reduce the dryness of your skin and make it appear younger, as well as effectively healing any skin conditions you may suffer from.

Aloe vera can even help protect you from increased exposure to the sun so you can use it when you go on holiday (as well as your usual sun protection) to prevent skin damage and help to treat your skin if it happens to get burnt. It can even help to maintain a longer lasting sun tan when you return from your holiday, so you can enjoy the benefits from a healthy glowing tan for longer.

So whether you simply want to look younger, or whether you want to treat a specific skin condition you may have, aloe vera or at least a product containing the aloe vera ingredient, can be useful in helping improve your skin’s appearance.

You can apply aloe vera creams or moisturisers directly to the skin, or you could drink an aloe vera juice, for example, but for a more potent product we recommend Aloeride which is made from 100% pure aloe vera extract for a more effective treatment.

Aloe Vera For IBS

Products containing the aloe vera ingredient are excellent for treating IBS, or irritable bowel syndrome to give it it’s full name, and can reduce the discomfort considerably. However before I discuss the treatment of IBS, let me first of all discuss what irritable bowel syndrome actually is and what the symptoms are.

IBS is basically a very uncomfortable condition caused by a functional disorder of the bowel, and can affect around 1 in 5 people at some point in their life (although it varies form country to country). Symptoms include a cramp-like pain in the stomach, bloating, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea, and the condition is usually diagnosed by a doctor after taking a physical exam and/or an x-ray and endoscopy.

There is no outright cure for the problem but the condition can be treated effectively. You can start by monitoring your diet reducing your intake of things like caffeine, dairy products, chocolate and alcohol, as well as increasing your daily intake of water and high fibre foods. It’s also a good idea to take more exercise in an effort to relieve stress, which can worsen the symptoms of IBS.

Another good way of treating irritable bowel syndrome is to use a product containing the aloe vera ingredient because this has proven to very effective at reducing the discomfort associated with IBS.

It works most effectively when taken internally, so aloe vera juice or capsules like Aloeride work extremely well. This is because the aloe vera attaches itself to binding sites along the digestive tract and it’s molecules are absorbed into the bloodstream.

The aloe vera can either start to take effect immediately or more generally will gradually ease the symptoms over the course of a few months.

To get the full benefit from the aloe vera ingredient we recommend using Aloeride because it is uses 100% pure aloe vera extract which sets it apart from most other aloe vera products, and so you will hopefully get the maximum benefit in your fight to eliminate the discomfort of IBS.

Aloe Vera For Eczema

Eczema is quite a common skin condition caused by an inflammation of the upper layer of skin and often results in red skin that is dry, itchy and crusty in nature. It may also result in blisters and bleeding skin in some cases. It’s basically an uncomfortable and unsightly skin condition.

The good news is that while there is no outright cure for Eczema there are effective treatments for the condition that will reduce the inflammation and itchiness of the skin. Your doctor should prescribe specific antibiotics and medications depending on your own individual condition, but you can also try other treatments as well.

One of the most popular treatments for Eczema sufferers is aloe vera. Aloe vera has been used for many years to effectively treat various skin conditions, including Eczema. The extract from the aloe vera plant acts as a moisturiser and therefore reduces the dryness of the skin. It also helps the healing process of the skin and will help to improve it’s overall appearance.

As regards using aloe vera, most people buy a cream or moisturiser containing the aloe vera ingredient and apply it directly to the affected skin, which will often provide some relief, but the trouble with these products is they often don’t contain enough of the natural aloe vera ingredient to be truly effective.

This is why we recommend the popular Aloeride capsules. These contain 100% pure aloe vera extract and work from the inside of the body which is where they are most effective. The pills themselves are very small and can be taken by both adults and children, so even young Eczema sufferers can benefit from the healing and anti-inflammatory qualities of Aloeride.

Aloe Vera For Crohn’s Disease

Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease that can cause the small intestine and part of the digestive tract to become inflamed. It is not known exactly what causes the disease but a popular view is that is is caused by abnormalities of the immune system, or is the result of an adverse reaction to a virus.

Diagnosis of Crohn’s disease can be difficult and is usually done after a series of tests which may involve blood tests, a colonoscopy and other radiologic tests.

For the people who are diagnosed with Crohn’s disease it is a painful and uncomfortable disease. Sufferers usually have a sharp abdominal pain and may also suffer from diarrhoea and rectal bleeding. It may also cause weight loss and fevers in some cases.

It’s not just adults who suffer from Crohn’s disease either. For children, it can lead to stunted growth and delayed development.

As regards treatment, there is no outright cure unfortunately, but you can treat the condition and improve the symptoms significantly. This is generally done through medication prescribed by your doctor or consultant, but many people also see dramatic improvements by using the natural healing power of aloe vera as well.

Aloe vera is extremely effective at treating digestive disorders such as Crohn’s disease and has helped many sufferers live a more pain-free and normal life when taken on a regular basis.

The aloe vera product we most recommend is Aloeride because they are in capsule form which means they work effectively from inside the body and help to promote healing, particularly as they are 100% pure aloe vera. Furthermore they don’t have any laxative effect, unlike most other aloe vera products, so you know that they won’t worsen your diarrhoea.

Decoration For Hindu Wedding Ceremony

I was recently asked to attend a Hindu wedding ceremony. Having never experienced a non-Christian wedding, I was excited about the event. On the surface, it was very different from other weddings I’ve attended, but the focus on unity and love is all many cultures universally, I think. I want to share my experience.

The ceremony began in the morning with the bride and groom division. The bride’s family and friends gathered in one area, while escorted out with boyfriend and his family and friends. A beautiful and ornate arch was built against a side entrance of the hotel. Everyone gathered around, as the groom has to rituals prepares you for the ceremony. The rituals include some members of the family of the bride and Hindu priest.

After the rituals were performed, we all went through the arch at the hotel. Personally appeared this particular part to play to me as the groom’s family and friends were participating in the ceremony and not just watch.

Then we went to the ballroom where the main ceremony would take place. We sat in rows facing a big stage, which was beautifully decorated, and we had programs that could follow along with the awards. Anyone can be different, so this ceremony is not an example to all the ceremonies, but gives you an idea of what can be.

The Hindu wedding ceremony

The Hindu wedding ceremony is a long and elaborate ceremony, rooted in every step of the Vedic tradition, which means that several aspects of life that continue after the wedding. The indian wedding mandaps london– a stage canopy or marriage – with flowers and a fire starts as a witness decorated Hindu wedding ceremony.

Vidai (goodbye to the bride)

The Vidai is one of the most emotional parts of the ceremony. Now that the couple were married, she asks to leave his family. She throws a handful of rice over his shoulder wished her childhood home happiness and prosperity.

What I found most surprising was the ceremony that although all the above steps, the atmosphere of the ceremony remained cheerful and happy. The Hindu priest, joked and while some of the steps, laughed as family and friends laughed and applauded. Although there was a certain feeling of reverence and holiness, everyone had a smile, too. It was a very happy occasion, too.

I am very happy to have the opportunity to attend this event and learn about another culture sacred ceremony. I thought it was very welcoming to non-Hindus, and was glad to participate in the ceremony.

Why Use Forever Living’s Aloe Vera Gel

Forever Living are in a position to bring us the purest aloe vera gel possible as they are in full control of the whole production process right from the start.  Rex realised that in order to ensure smooth running in the supply chain,  from growing aloe plants to harvesting and producing the gel, that it was in the companies best interest not to have to depend on any other supplier.

Forever’s aloe plants are organically grown and harvested by hand, thus ensuring only mature leaves are used which are filled with gel.

It is the inner gel that is the important bit as it is this gel that contains the vital components that can have such an amazing effect at keeping a healthy body.

Once the leaves are cut, they are subject to the oxidation process, similar to an orange that is cut and left exposed, so its life-force evaporates.   Speed is essential to stablize the gel and keep it as close to its natural state as possible, protecting and preserving all the nutrients it can offer us.
