A study which evaluate the efficacy of aloe vera extract in treating patients with psoriasis vulgaris. The sample group of 60 people, who suffers from moderate to serious psoriasis, is divided into 2 groups. One of the group were given a placebo; while another were given topical aloe vera extract which they have to self administer for up to 4 weeks.
The group of patients who were given aloe extract were found that their psoriasis had reduced significantly. The treatment were well tolerated with no reported adverse side effects.
