Overexposure to the sun can cause sunburn thus leading to burning sensations. It is best to adapt some steps to avoid the ailment and one of the things to consider is aloe vera.
The sun’s rays may be harmful to our body. The UVA, which is a long wave, and UBV, which is a medium wave are the most damaging kinds of light rays from the sun. Staying under the sun for a long period result not only to minor skin problems like freckles, wrinkles, and skin darkening but it may set off a cancerous condition of the skin.

Knowing what possible ailments the sun can bring, it is normal for all to find ways on how to shield themselves from the harmful effects of sunlight. In spite of this fact, particular classes of people are more predisposed to the condition. These are people who work in the open air, those who belong to the Caucasian race and kids who usually play outdoors. Fortunately, you can protect your skin from sunburn and sunstroke. Here are some safety measures that you should put into practice:
• Remain indoors whenever possible. Stay indoors from 11 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon. During said periods the sun is known to be at its peak.
• Shield your body from the sun. Put on a sun-hat and shades to shield you face. Dress in clothes that are light because damp garments absorb more UV rays.
• Put sunscreen daily. Never neglect on putting sunscreen with at least SPF 15 before getting exposed to the sun. Rub it on the surface as often as needed.
• Choose mild soap. Avoid frequent use of soap for it dries up the skin. Eat foods that are rich in omega 3 and contains antioxidants. Make it a habit to drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.

Ingesting Aloe Vera supplements assists your skin to adapt to the varying intensity of sunrays and rehydrates the skin. A study proves that aloe vera has effective anti-aging and anti-UV properties. Be aware, though, that only a few aloe vera supplements can protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. It is still better to take other preventive measures to stay out of sunburn.
